This boutique session with Gina Yeo will teach you how to find and use natural light in a variety of ways as a means of capturing beautiful everyday images within your own environment. Demonstrations will highlight how the same light source can be used and manipulated in order to capture variety in mood and vision. Technical considerations will be discussed.

Learning Objectives:
1. Learn the importance of the exposure triangle, with focus on exposure and how to meter.
2. Learn how to read light temperature (specifically Kelvin).
3. Understand how to read a histogram (specifically the red channel, clipping shadows, blowing highlights).
4. Discuss light patterns (Flat, Glamour (butterfly), Split, Rembrandt, Loop and Backlight).
5. Discuss light hardness (Hard, Soft).
6. Discuss light fall off (Inverse Square Law).
7. Discuss light modifiers.
8. Learn how to consider light and impact on mood.
